Victor Hugo, one of the most famous of all French writers  died on May 22, 1885 on what is now the Avenue Victor Hugo. In his life he saved Notre Dame de Paris, the Roman arena in Paris and the subject of endless sculptures you can find in Paris and around France. 

Join my Sunday as we walk the street named for this master and a visit outside the Arc du Triomphe that saw one of the biggest funeral processions in French history.
